We are proud to announce that Fitness First Philippines passed the Personal Trainer Pad Course Level 1 of 4 and now Muaythai Certified. The training was headed by no other than the World Muaythai Council International Vice President Stephan Fox (Former World Champion and host of The Contender Asia, The Challenger and the Biggest Loser).
Thailand’s National Sport, Muaythai, comes from the Sanskrit word MAVYA which means to bind together. It is referred to as the Art or Science of Eight Limbs which uses punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes.
Last December 10-11, 2011, Fitness First Philippines’ Fitness Team underwent Personal Trainer Pad Course Level 1 of 4. A team of 3 Filipinos, 1 Thai and 1 Iranian, all Muaythai Champions, headed by the World Muaythai Council International Vice President Stephan Fox (Former World Champion and host of the Contender Asia, The Challenger and the Biggest Loser) certified all the participants after two intensive days of Muaythai training.

The Muaythai workout is a mixture of self-defense, sport, science and art. As your physical strength, coordination, and stamina develop, you will also notice improvements in your determination, patience, and self-control. The goal of Muaythai training is the development of the whole self. For generations, people have learnt this martial art not only for self defense, but also for physical and moral well being.
Muaythai workout allows you to burn 350 to 500 calories in just an hour. It makes a person lose fat in the shortest possible time, as such, to get back into shape and have a glamorous body. Those having low self esteem have also benefited from this as it instilled confidence in them and they learn how to value themselves more. For those who have a weak immune system, Muaythai works to build up stamina and endurance and they face lesser diseases after indulging in this workout.
